Physical Education
Physical Education is a key component of the curriculum at Lollypop Creek Primary School. Offering a complete and well-rounded Physical Education program from Foundation to Grade 6, students participate in an environment that is fun, engaging and safe.
From Foundation to Grade 2, the focus of our program is to equip our students with the basic Fundamental Motor Skills (FMS) that can be used across a broad range of sports. FMS skills such as:
Throwing
Catching
Kicking
Ball Bounce
Jumping, Leaping and Dodging
Forehand and Two-handed Strike
From Grade 3 to Grade 6, the emphasis of our program shifts towards the application of these FMS in different sports/game settings. This application allows the students to work on their ‘game sense’ and strategies in a wide range of sports/games. Students participate in four basic game types:
Invasion games e.g. Basketball, Netball, Soccer & AFL
Striking & Fielding games e.g. Cricket, T-ball & Softball
Net/Wall games e.g. Tennis & Volleyball
Target games e.g. Bocce, Carpet Bowls & Golf
Lollypop Creek Primary School is proud to have the use a state of art stadium (including a full-sized indoor basketball court), two outdoor basketball courts as well as a large and well-maintained sporting field.
We stock a large quantity and variety of sports equipment and involve our students in a wide range of events. These include:

During all of our Physical Education sessions and sporting events, the importance of cooperation, inclusion, and fair play is a focus for all Lollypop Creek Primary School students.
